[Podcast #39] How Dean is now able to say “yes” when customers want a full multi-channel marketing program!

As a company who has worked closely with printers and marketing service providers who want to diversify their offerings to provide full multi-channel services to add more value to their customers for nearly 20 years, we have heard many people saying the same things, asking the same questions, and experiencing similar challenges.

how do I stay up to date on what the latest trends are in marketing?”

how do I get my customers to view me as more than just ‘a printer?'”

“should we completely rebrand and change our company name?”

“do we need a new website?”

“how do we position ourselves so people view us as a full-blown agency?”

“what does an actual proposal consist of?”

“now that I am offering multi-channel marketing automation services, how do I price the programs?”

…and the list goes on!

Does this sound familiar? Do you have some of the same questions?

Lucky for us (and you!), Dean Petrulakis, SVP of Business Development at Fuse, joined Dave and me for latest podcast episode of Pixels & Ink, and he answers all of those questions and more.

Let me give you a little background. Fuse is the umbrella company of which there are 3 separate corporations: Fuse Print, Kelmscott Agency, and KelmscottEDU.

A few years back, the company Dean worked at, Rider Dickerson, (you’ve probably heard of him from there) got acquired and they did an evaluation and re-organization. Their goal was to be able to offer their customers a complete end to end solution so that they could say “yes” to any and every marketing service that their customers could leverage to achieve their goals.

He and his team have gone through the transition from print service provider, to marketing service provider, to full agency, and have organized their organization to bring the most value to their customers, but also to be easily visible and trusted to deliver the highest quality print, marketing, and agency services.

One thing that listeners always want to hear more of is specific examples of winning a client, the steps taken to reach the client, how a proposal looks, etc.. and Dean absolutely delivers in this department. Make sure to tune in to hear him discuss the full marketing strategy they are implementing for a local Private School. The strategy involves a huge event, direct mail, email, landing pages, social media, and more! It is a long term marketing program (think a year +) that has so many moving parts and intricate details, and in the Episode we hear every aspect of the planning for it.

Dean was an absolute open book and such a pleasure to spend some time with, and we are thrilled to be able to share the session with you today! This Episode is jam-packed with key takeaways that you can apply to your business, so make sure to tune in and learn from Dean!
